Calm.
That is the word that continues to rise to the surface within my mind. During what could have been a chaotic situation when our district had to evacuate two buildings due to a bomb threat, all remained calm.
I sit back and reflect on it all and continue, weeks later, to be in awe of the response of not only our incredible Indian Hill Rangers, but also our Brave staff. And, that day, on the front line for our district in keeping all Braves informed and safe was our exceptional administrative assistant team.
During the March 17 Board of Education meeting, led by our Board of Education, our district celebrated our Indian Hill Rangers, with our entire administrative team joining us to say Thank You. And, as a district, we decided to use our March Thank You lunch as a time to pay special tribute to our team of professional administrative assistants, who did so much that day and every single day.
Additionally, I want to also take this opportunity to say Thank You to our entire community. Our staff was blown away by the generous donations made by so many to our IH PTO to supply lunches following the evacuation. We are humbled by the outpouring of support. We feel truly appreciated. Truly.
In my 20 years of being a Brave, I have witnessed so many moments that make me proud to call Indian Hill my professional home.
This was one.
In good times and in bad, we are a Brave Family.
Dedicated to the success of our children,
Dr. Melissa Stewart
Superintendent
